Find the white BLM 0.6 "The Geographic Inquiry Process" that was sent home with your package. Here is a printable version or digital version if you can not find it.
Read page 8 and 9 in your textbook. Notice that the 5 steps of geographic inquiry are not in a specific order. Rather you can skip to various steps and go back and forth as you refine your research.
After reading about each step on page 8-9, select four or five KEY words (VERBS or ACTION words would be important) for each step and copy them in the correct row on the worksheet (BLM 0.6)

Using one of the Journal Entry handouts in the Literature Circle Handouts section (blue), write a journal entry from Bilbo's perspective. Make sure that you follow the instructions as given to you on the handout that was introduced to you yesterday ('The Hobbit Literature Circle.') . It will definitely end up being a half page, if not a page or more.
Remember to use the pronoun 'I' when telling what happened in the chapter.
Remember to also share your emotions (the emotions that Bilbo had) in your writing. A journal entry is very personal, similar to a diary.
Journal - "a daily record of news and events of a personal nature; a diary"
Diary - a book in which you "record your thoughts or feelings or what has happened each day ."
You may create a Google Doc, or you may use pen and paper.
Due Monday, January 17 - Please be neat!
